This water-wise native landscape in Preston, VIC, works to create an oasis for native pollinators and bird species in Melbourne’s Inner-North, whilst also tackling run-off and flash flooding challenges.

Transformed from kikuyu lawn at the start of 2023, this garden utilises varying levels in the landscape to slow and capture water. This allows water to be held on site and soak into the surrounding garden beds, not only watering the plants but preventing flash-flooding.
